Welcome!

Thanks for visiting this blog, This is where I try to give accurate reviews on movies and books that I have read or watched.

Movies can be a lot fun to watch with family and friends. However I believe that we should not just watch a movie for entertainment sake, but that as Christians we should try to focus any film through a biblical world-view.

So as I review movies I'll consider; Is it worth "The Second Take?"

U-571-WWII Film

1942:  U-571 is the name of an advanced Nazi U-boat (submarine) that has the "Enigma".  A German encoding device that makes the Nazi ciphering unbreakable.    U.S command has ordered that it must be captured under any circumstance.
The Americans deploy in an old U.S submarine and an elite sub crew to do the job.

Things become complicated when another Nazi U-boat intercept them while they are boarding U-571.

This film is exciting and intense and may remind viewers of "The Hunt for Red October".  It will keep you engaged through the whole film with the battle scenes.  And as tensions rise between the members of the crew, the new captain must show leadership as well as courage and daring.

Now as you probably already know I love history. And while this film is not fully accurate  it was WWII and as the acting was done very well so I still enjoyed it.
Warnings:
There is quite a bit of swearing throughout, and some of the fight scenes are pretty bloody.

Overall my rating is 4 stars for the exciting and intense U-571.
